In a tweet putting his fears about a 2018 Democratic takeover of Congress on full display, Trump has begun fear mongering to dissuade voters from the imminent “blue wave” expected during the next mid-term elections.
Why would smart voters want to put Democrats in Congress in 2018 Election when their policies will totally kill the great wealth created during the months since the Election. People are much better off now not to mention ISIS, VA, Judges, Strong Border, 2nd A, Tax Cuts & more?

Ironically, Trump claims that “smart voters” wouldn’t want to elect Democrats in 2018, despite the fact that his incendiary rhetoric is directed squarely at his base, for whom facts are wholly unnecessary. In fact, the President has a list of lies numbering into the thousands during only his first year in office.
Trump’s tweet touts the “wealth created during the months since the election.” However, not only was this wealth simply a continuation of a steady stream of interrupted growth dating back to March of 2009, but it is actually lower than levels during the Obama era.
For example, in 2011, 2.1 million jobs were created; in 2012, 2.1 million jobs were created; in 2013, 2.3 million jobs were created; in 2014, 2.9 million jobs were created; in 2015, 2.7 million jobs were created; and in 2016, 2.2 million jobs were created. This year, under Trump, approximately 1.7 million jobs were created.
When Obama took office, the unemployment rate was 9.6 percent, which dropped to 4.8 percent by the time Trump took office, a 50% drop. Under Trump, the unemployment rate has dropped from 4.8 percent to 4.1 percent, a drop of about 15%.
Trump then delves into his usual list of tenuous talking points, claiming credit for things like nominating Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) disallowed a vote on President Obama’s nominee, Merrick Garland, for nearly a year in an egregious and disgusting display of partisanship. He also claims credit for “2nd A,” a reference to the second amendment, which, of course, has never been threatened beyond Americans supporting – en masse, to the tune of 90% – commonsense gun reform to quell the prevalence of mass shootings by introducing restrictions on military-grade assault rifles and the ability for those with mental disabilities to get their hands on lethal weapons.
Trump’s tweet reads more like a desperate plea than a veritable list of accomplishments. With Democrats’ unprecedented momentum heading into 2018, it’s going to take more than such blatant fear mongering to dissuade Americans from finally putting an end to this Republican decimation of our national ideals.
Keep tweeting, Mr. President.
