President Trump not only raised your taxes through his bogus tax “cut”, but now he wants to make you spend more on postage and shipping. Slipping into cranky old man mode for his latest tweet, the President slammed both Amazon and the U. S. Postal Service.
Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer? Should be charging MUCH MORE!

Ironically, Trump just admitted to wasting the tax-payer funded White House budget, since the news was also revealed today that the President fired the 16 remaining members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS via letters sent by FedEx. If the U.S. Postal Service is so much cheaper, then why is he not using the more economical government service rather than the expensive private alternate delivery company?
Why Trump picked these two targets today isn’t known, but it would not be surprising if Fox News or some right-wing website had run a story about the Postal Service since that’s the usual trigger for the President’s tweet bombs.
It is worth noting that Amazon is primarily owned by Jeff Bezos who also owns The Washington Post, a major thorn in Trump’s side and a frequent target of his “fake news” accusations, despite the fact-checking acumen as demonstrated by its reporting on Roy Moore’s predilection for cruising for under-aged girls at the local mall in Alabama.
Send your postcards protesting Trump’s urging to increase U.S. Postal Service rates to the White House as soon as possible. Who knows how much longer you’ll be able to afford to do so?
